Successful Parting with Simple Carbide Parting Tool

Make Groove Wider than Tool Tip

Create a wide groove so the chips can evacuate the piece and don't get re-cut.

Keep Tool Tip at Lathe Center Line

Keep the tip at the lathe center line. On smaller lathes you may need to tip the tool a little if you cannot lower the tool rest down far enough.

Solid 3/4" Square Body

Strong and durable with 3/4" square solid stainless steel tool body.

Tip can be sharpened, if needed.

You can touch up the tip if needed, to keep it's edge.

Carbide Tipped Parting Tool for Woodturning

Solid 3/4" Square

  • Blade width -1/8"

Now you can cut small grooves for decorative features and then simply part off the finished vessel easier then you ever thought possible. This tool comes unhandled, or you can add a handle of your choice. Plus the thin blade is replaceable or the tip is resharpen-able.
